LOGLINE

A coming-of-age drama following a group of delinquent girls from a juvenile detention center in LA, who became famous for their K-pop cover dances and end up participating in a nationwide dance competition.

SYNOPSIS

Doa has been training to become an idol singer for 9 years at a Korean entertainment agency. However, she makes a selfish mistake and fails the final audition. Giving up on all her dreams, Doa returns to the United States where her parents live. Just as the 17-year-old Doa is feeling hopeless about her life, she is falsely accused of drug possession at a friend's birthday party and subsequently sent to a juvenile detention center.

On her first day at the center, Doa falls out of favor with Camila, the top inmate, and faces severe bullying. Doa learns about an early release program. By accumulating merit points through volunteer work, inmates can be released earlier. Doa also discovers that winning the talent show held at the center in two weeks can earn a significant number of points at once. Doa decides to join Camila's dance team.

Although their first encounter was unpleasant, Doa, Camila, and the other girls gradually grow closer as they practice together. After grueling practice, they finally win the talent show! Moreover, their performance video accidentally goes viral on YouTube, creating a huge buzz. Fans even give Doa's dance team the nickname "Prison Girls." Jeremy, who happens to be planning a dance survival show for a TV station, recognizes the potential of the "Prison Girls" and visits the detention center to propose their participation in the broadcast...

Uni Hong, a writer and director, has made her mark with the feature film "Woman Driving BMW," produced by Saram Entertainment. She has also penned the Korean TV series "It’s True Now, It’s True Then," produced by Studio Flow.  

 

Kiwon Hong, a director, gained recognition for his short film "Tylenol," featuring acclaimed Korean actor Byun Yohan. His upcoming Korean TV series "Concrete Market (working title)," produced by Studio Climax, is set to be released soon, further showcasing his talent and creative vision. 

 

Together, Uni and Kiwon Hong are committed to crafting compelling narratives that resonate with audiences, merging their unique perspectives to bring innovative stories to life.

White twin brothers, propaganda filmmakers born and raised in North Korea, face their greatest challenge as they uncover their father's CIA identity while their outrageous propaganda film threatens to trigger a global crisis.

SYNOPSIS

Born with Western features but raised to serve North Korea's cause, Hong Chul and Jun have mastered the art of propaganda.

 

When ambitious party official Kim Jung-sam approaches them with a daring proposal - to create a video claiming North Korea's successful Mars landing - the twins see it as their chance to prove their loyalty.

 

For Chul, it means stepping into the director's role, while Jun can finally break free from his typecasting as a dying American soldier.

 

Their outrageous propaganda video, meant only for domestic control, unexpectedly leaks beyond North Korea's borders.

 

What starts as international mockery takes a dangerous turn when foreign intelligence agencies begin interpreting it as a coded message about nuclear capabilities.

 

As global tensions rise, Jung-sam demands even more sensational videos from the twins.

Beyond feature films, Xylograph Films has a strong track record of producing captivating content for brands and artists. Their client roster includes industry giants like Red Bull, Nike, and Lotus Cars, as well as renowned musicians such as Bryce Vine and Two Friends.

Daeil Kim's exceptional talent as a writer and director has been acknowledged with prestigious awards and grants, including the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Production Grant and the Sony Future of Cinematography Program Award. His education at USC and his experience directing episodes of TV series have further honed his skills and enriched his creative vision.

LOGLINE

As racial tensions explode over the mysterious "Boiling Blood" epidemic, a Korean policeman and his American reporter wife struggle to protect their biracial son, whose terrifying power burns people from the inside with a single touch—threatening to either doom humanity or become its last hope.

SYNOPSIS

Han Su and Maya navigate a powder keg of fear and misinformation in current-day Korea centered around their 7-year-old biracial son, Raffi, and an affliction credited to Korean/American kids called the “Boiling Blood,” causing victims’ blood to bubble and seethe, burning them alive from inside with a single touch. 

Han Su and Maya must hide Raffi from the mounting pressure to eliminate “Spoiled Kids” while questioning if Raffi carries this dangerous power. 

Forced to flee to America, their worst nightmare comes true when Raffi reveals he has the “Boiling Blood.” Unfamiliar in their new environment, and rejected by the community, they find relief with an American family facing the same predicament. New jeopardy surfaces when the children’s abilities grow stronger together. 

Desperate, they seek help from the Clinique, an organization promising a cure, but in truth, it’s a front to eradicate “Spoiled Kids.” With Raffi a prisoner of the Clinique, and all hope gone, Han Su discovers an amazing truth: Though it appears as a disease, that's just a side effect, “Boiling Blood” is a cure! Raffi possesses a gift that burns up disease, but biases threaten this miracle. Han Su and Maya must rescue Raffi before it’s too late.
